Stressed. I am so incredibly stressed about what to read, having enough time to read, setting deadlines for reading and falling into slumps. This is absolutely not okay. Reading is my passion, my relaxation, something that helps my mental health. If I’m getting this worked up about reading then it isn’t helping me in the ways it normally does.

Following on from the success of F/F February, Ellie and I have decided to host another monthly challenge – this time, Aro-Ace April. Ellie is taking the lead on this one as she had been considering it for a little while, but when Kelsea also suggested we do it, we knew it was something that should happen. The presentation of aro ace and a-spec characters within literature is something very important to Ellie personally, which is another reason why we really wanted to host this challenge and put it out there.

A week ago, my best friend and fellow blogger, Kath, finished Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan – a book that, If you haven’t read yet, you should pick up imminently. She immediately messaged our bookish group chat saying how amazing it was, by which began a long conversation about how amazing and soft the F/F relationship was, and how we should all read more Sapphic fiction. Another of the group, Ellie, and I jumped on this idea, and so was born F/F February.
