What a month. I think I was so close to giving most of these books five stars. It has really been an exceptional month for me and I can’t quite believe it. It has also been one of my best reading months in terms of quantity as well as quality! I read 12 books, which is my joint highest month with January.Continue reading

JUL WRAP UP | The Books & the Stats
This month, I’m writing this post on 31st July so if it doesn’t go live until mid-August, at least I started with good intentions. I’m getting better and hey, maybe this is the month that I post more than just my wrap up!
July has been busy, culminating in YALC last weekend. I don’t know yet whether I’m going to do a YALC post or not, but I will say that with that and my birthday, my July haul is off the charts. I’m never going to catch up on my TBR.
Big stat for the month though – this was my most consistently enjoyable reading month of 2019 so far with my star average being 4.63! My next closest was January with 4.42!Continue reading
MAR WRAP UP | The Books & the Stats
With my life getting more manic as the months go on, I am still remarkably impressed with myself this year. Firstly, here I am still doing monthly wrap ups and secondly, I have posted on my blog at least once a week every week of 2019. This has been so good for me, my blog and my views and I’m just so happy about it. Without further ado, let’s see what I read!Continue reading
ARC MINI REVIEWS | The Near Witch, Once & Future & To Best the Boys
This year, I have been so good about getting reviews up before release with ARCs, but I can see myself beginning to fall behind so here’s a couple that are recent releases or soon-to-release that I haven’t got to yet.
FEB WRAP UP & F/F FEB | The Books, the Stats and the Queers
We’re two months down and the wrap up is still happening so it seems like I’ve done something right. With #FFFebruaryReads, I’ve had a seriously busy month and I’m so proud of myself for keeping up with things … though I am quite behind on reviews. Oops? Also, in terms of reading goals I’m slacking but I’ve been getting more review copies than ever before and, I’ll be honest, I’m struggling to keep up. Here’s to a better March!Continue reading
JAN WRAP UP | The Books & the Stats
New year, new me, new attempt at blogging a wrap up every month. Let’s see how long this lasts! I’m going to try and keep it pretty simple and to the point, in the hope that I can keep it up for the whole year, but we’ll see how that goes.Continue reading
2019 READING GOALS | Reading outside my comfort zone & smashing my TBR
HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL! Now that 2019 is upon us, it’s time to find out what my reading resolutions are for the year! I’m sure you’ve already been inundated with posts about 2019 reading and blogging goals but hopefully you aren’t too bored of them just yet because here’s mine.
Thanks to my ridiculous book buying habits, subscription boxes and the lovely publishers who send me review copies, my TBR is once again overrun. But this is it. This is the year when I reduce my 174 unread physical books (I counted yesterday, ouch) down. I am smashing my TBR in 2019.Continue reading
2018 WRAP UP | Top reads and top releases of the year
Wrap up time! If you follow me on instagram, you’ll have seen my top 2018 books already but here’s your not-very-concise summary of my favourite books of the year, plus a statistical round up of what I’ve read (because who doesn’t love some stats and charts)!Continue reading
IMI RECOMMENDS | My Fave Feminist & LGBTQIA+ Books
So it’s my lovely friend Abi’s birthday today and I thought that in honour of her wonderful, fierce feminist and LGBTQIA+ self, I would recommend some of my favourite books that deal with these topics!
Obviously, this is only a small collection and you will have heard of so many more than this, but these are my personal favourites.Continue reading
